City of Mbombela Service Delivery Drive ongoing
In the coming two weeks the Service Delivery Drive will move to the KaNyamazane area.

The City of Mbombela’s (CoM) Service Delivery Drive (SDD) is continuing across Mataffin, Rocky Drift and Msholozi (Ward 14), eMbonisweni and Backdoor (Ward 38).
The SDD is aimed at the improving service delivery within the municipality to ensure all service backlogs are dealt with.
The CoM’s mayor, Cllr Sibongile Makushe-Mazibuko, said the work in the two wards should be finished soon and it would then continue in the KaNyamazane area. The councillors in this area have already provided a list of issues needing attention.
Despite the disruptions by the recent rains, we continued with the clean-up work. Our officials are still on the ground attending to all the grievances. We hope that by the end of this week everything will be finished. However, I must emphasise that we are going to continue to deliver the services to the people even after the campaign,” she said.

The municipality is aware that certain areas in the central region still need to be attended to. According to Makushe-Mazibuko, they are working on it. She also called on motorists to be patient with the contractor repairing the R40 and urged them to plan their trips wisely to avoid delays.
She did not respond to the queries about when the traffic lights in Belladonna and Anderson streets, which have been dysfunctional for several months, will be fixed. Road users raised this issue in Lowvelder as part of the Gatvol Campaign, demanding that they be fixed urgently. The residents are also putting pressure on the CoM to attend to the traffic lights on the N4 near Halls.that by the end of this week everything will be finished. However, I must emphasise that we are going to continue to deliver the services to the people even after the campaign,” she said.
